Yeh i had rubbing till i rolled the guards or raised it.

Tyres were 205 45s could have gone 40s but $$ didnt strectch that far at the time.

size was 16x8 rear with offset of 24 and 16x7 front with offset 33, poked just enough but not too much IMO.

I absolutely adore the look of it but sadly I don't think it's "acceptable"!

Tyres would cost a lot for what they are and I'd be weary of the load rating on such small tyres!

BTW, I think Nankang has those sizes (definitely in 15", don't know about 16"). Otherwise you might have to look at Continental!

Edit: Just confirming for the Nankang NS2 -

            Code:
            SERIES	INCH	SIZE
            35 17" 165/35R17 XL 75V
            40 17" 165/40R17 XL 73V
            40 16" 165/40R16 XL 73V
            45 16" 165/45R16 70V
            50 15" 165/50R15 72V
            55 14" 155/55R14 69V
            65 14" 155/65R14 75V
            Don't get funny ideas haha.

Nice cars - I like them both Neither is driveable, though, which you need to remember

The only way to go is one race-spec Mk1 and one show car, just like I'm doing

                  yeah they are undriveable...

im assuming the wheel specs are ET20 with some sort of spacer? 15 to 20mm bringing it out close to ET5 or maybee even ET0??? valver?

your looking at over 1.5 inchess of overpoke!!

i wana keep mine just... in the guards.. nothing to massave like that

EDIT: just wrang nankang and they dont stock 165/40 in aust !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! damn it hate this country

Both lips look 20-30mm outside the guards. The effective offsets would have to be in the region of 0ET. I'm guessing both have spacers as there's not enough lip on the wheels to mean an actual low offset.

I have some ET0 15x7s here, but I've not tried putting one on yet. I may have a look today if I get a chance.

                          Undrivable because.......?

IMO over done, looks stupid when the rim is THAT far from the tire.

                              Quick question guys,

Will 15 x 7 ET28 4x100 wheels fit under MK1 Guards without lipping? Depends on ride hight I know but perhaps with 3/4-inch lowering?

                              Cheers
