  • Rain tray removal - registerable?

    whats the deal with registration after removing the rain tray?
    we have an excel with reinforced strut towers that means it cant be registered.
    any help is appreciated

    I had fixed half the broken crap but that just meant it was still halfway inoperable

    Not structural in a golf but it would fail a roadworthy because engine fumes can enter the cabin via the heater.

    If you block off the heater the car will fail the roadworthy because it doesn't have a demister.

    Solve those problems and it might be OK.

      any idea how you could allow the demister without the raintray and blocking the heater?

        You could probably put ducting from the heater inlet to the vents in the bonnet...
        aka Mini rain tray...
