Banding Steel rims

Gents,

I have a set of ronal r10 for summer but thinking that for winter i want a set of banded steel wheels.
I have hopefully got hold of some 14 x 6j standard vw 4 x 100 rims and want to widen them. I think George did a set a while back but may have sold them onto some one here. I have full disc set up all round and car is running on some enkeis that are 14 x 6 at the minute but will sell these. Can anyone suggest what sort of off set would be ok considering the car is lowered to prevent rubbing.

Anyone know how to get hold of george??

7"-7.5" will work with most offsets, 8" you will need a lower (closer to zero) offset

check the thread below this which i have posted in about wheel fitment. if you have any sizes in mind i'll be able to help. check Online Wheel & Tyre Fitment calculator. Offset, Tyre stretch and Rolling Radius calculator as well and compare to the ronals/enkeis and how they fit.

if you want "winter wheels" (which you don't need imo, cause this is australia - there's no snow, there's no salted roads)
why not just stick with standard sized wheels?

as for lowered and rubbing and etc, there really are too many variables!

George didn't get his steelies widened, he bought them as is iirc, and now Dom in sydney owns them.
