  • KE jet to K jet conversion

    Hi all,

Some of you might remember about a year ago i had problems with flooded KE-jet ECU. Well it's happened again! Unbelievable I know! It seems every time I get caught in heavy rain the unit floods, fills with water and dies, VW really ballsed up with the design there. Anyway it just seems like a waste of time and money trying to get the KE-jet running properly again so I want to convert it to K-jet.

What do I need to complete the conversion?

    Thanks, ed

Brushing the dust off, read this first....

    Fuel System

I changed mine to basic and still more to do.. ( 2E shortblock replacing a good JH shortblock)

I have found its better to use the early dizzy with the vac advance / retard unit instead of the vac only unit that KE uses ( 2 vacuum connections instead of 1 ) Have the dizzy recurved to EG GTI spec also ( or as close as you can to it )

There are some other better airflowing parts to swap in but it will still run on the original stuff. ( throttle body, exhaust, K&N cam etc )
    Lots of MK 1 Scirocco's...

If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??
