  • Which carby fits best?

Hey guys, my mate has a 76 mk1 1600 and was thinking of chucking a webber on for a bit more power. What kinda carby gives the best results, how much and where can he get one from in Adelaide?
Otherwise, has anyone got anything laying around?
    cheers

I think the one for sale is a small one and give no bigger performance.
Use a two barrell one from a Cortina/escort.

You also need an adaptor plate and it needs setting up for the golf. Its not a direct bolt on swop.

The 2 barrell Weber has been the most popular modification to Golfs in Aus over the last 25 years.and its all bolt on.The Audi Foxes and Passat TS had a similar 2 barrell standard.

Yes, but you have to get the manifold with it.

Adapter plates are a waste of time.
