  • MK1 paint nearly finished

Chose a paint colour called mitterschwarz metallic, translates to midnight black metallic, however in the sun, it pops a real deep metallic grey.

this is the car i bought off this forum with a 16v motor in it. needless to say, its come along way!!!

All the way back to bare metal, have everything shaved that i could, all chrome trims will be matte blacked, including bumpers and mirrors.

Have the fixed back buckets in it, with suede deep corn nardi wheel, when i get it back, it will go away for trimming and then i think we are pretty much done.

Currently looking for a set of 16x8 BBS RS, so if anyone sees any, give me a yell

            Yes and Yes!

            used to look like this

paint was pretty shagged, windscreen panel was full of cancer, as was the tailgate. roof was absolutely ****ed. Its been a big job, but im so happy with the result.

                  Looking very sharp man

I saw this car when Frank purchased it back from Steve ( who put it together ) must be 6 or 7 years ago... then sold a few parts to the Shane when he was working on it.. was in need of a serious body overhaul way back then..

Heads up on the paint shop please, I have a few cars that need the attention of a real painter..

Did you guy's prep the body or the paint shop ??
                  Lots of MK 1 Scirocco's...

If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??

                  Cheers,
                  Grant...

Ahhhh pleasure to meet you! I'm Josh, i actually used to work at Tech 9 - scotty is one of my best friends.

When you brought your car in, the other josh that worked there sent me photos of our two cars next to each other, yours looks real clean mate. You should roll to this VW day with us on december 2..

Roccodingo - the paint was done by tech9tyres - Tech 9 Tyres - Home | Aftermarket Wheels, Tyres, Forged, 3-piece and chrome for Street, Drift, Race or 4WD

Very competitive rates, and no bull****, fixed price paint jobs. Can have the body sorted there too.

I would like to do small bumpers, this thing is a work in progress, as things pop up i'll do them, i'd say it'll be constantly changing for at least the next 2 years!

Appreciate the positive comments guys many thanks
