Hi all!
I am currently running my 3 forward engine mounts as prothane and the rear gearbox mount as a rubber diesel mount. I was wondering if anyone knew of any mounts that are stiffer than the standard ones but not as rigid as the prothane ones. The theory of the prothane mounts is great but I think the benefits are overrated.
As I mentioned, my rear gearbox mount comes off a diesel Mk1 Golf and is supposed to be slightly stiffer than the petrol version and I much prefer it over the rear prothane mount in regards to vibrations through the body! Anyways, any ideas as to where different stages of mount can be purchased for the mk1 as can be done for the later golfs?
Any advice much appreciated,
Tom.
