Ive recently bought a lhd swallowtail and plan to move out to Oz next year. Can anyone tell me which states allow you to drive a LHD car. Its a 1975 and very rare over here and dont want to leave it in the UK[/IMG]
I've seen that car in the flesh - it's beautiful!!! You can register a LHD here in Tasmania. My friend has an early Silverado truck which he uses nearly everyday

if youre planning on coming to melbourne. Here are a few docs that may help you with the information youre looking for. If you have a look through both you will see that bringing in a car manufactured b4 89 isnt much of a prob. And that if the car is more than 30 years old and less than 4.5 tonnes then it is exempt from the usual RHD conversion necessity.
this one is general info about importing a vehicle
Well I'm going to look into it cos Melb is where we want to go (the rainy city) But Im not leaving it here thats for sure. The rims are 7" x 15 BBS rs's and boy is it low. Considering putting it on air ride to stop it bottoming out.[/IMG]
