My Mk1 2dr "Project"

Hey dudes,
I have a few styling mods on the way, so I thought I'd start up a thread to show my progress;


The day I picked it up


Random snap of rear coilover



Today's efforts, swapped to plastic bumpers. I've never really liked the way the chrome bumpers sit (especially on rear).

I have some items currently in transit, so will be added over next few weeks.
-Angel Eye headlights
-Bumper indicators
-Wolfsburg Steering Wheel
- 15x7 +20 BBS RS copies.

Long term goals are;
-Freshen up paint (same colour)
-Single Wiper conversion
-Camber
-Possibly swaybars
-Clean up engine bay.

Keen for any input or ideas or opinions from everyone, yay or nay.

Also I'm eoi'ing the ATS Pepperpots as I have the rs' on the way.

Plastic bumps looked to have cleaned up well man...

Can prob do you a single wiper conversion when your ready from one of my Scirocco's

Yeah mate, good sand, repaired the crack, fresh coat of paint, happy days. Sounds good on wiper conversion. I'll be in touch!

Such a nice example I like the ATS pepperpots they suite nicely but i guess if your keen on rs's then they always look nice on a mk1 I got smoked indicators for mine with the parker lights and they look heaps mad keep us posted!

Well, made a few changes over the past few days;
-Changed plugs and leads, runs smooth as
-Fit my Wolfsburg Wheel
-The postman dropped me off a present...

-Also ordered my tyres, went with 165/55 Federal 595 Evo's

Okay, so made a few changes today.
Angel eye, black cross hair headlights+indicators



Not super happy with indicators, going to go with crystals, but these will do till then!!
Tyres due tomorrow, then bbs' will go on.

Okay, so after 4 days, 2 sets of wheels and tyres, and countless hours stress and standing around tyre stores, I'm finally happy.
I've settled on 15x7 +20 Rota Shakotan's






Still need to play with ride height, and some camber would be nice. But finally happy!!
