Who has an uncracked dash ??

hey guys i was just wondering how many of us have uncracked dashes ? we beat most of the rust with our hot weather but it sure is hard on the plastics

usually with the old golfs and passats they crack easy in aust heat. My old man had a 75 passat which he brought brand new, he told me that it didnt even last 2 years before the dash cracked.

I thought my Mk1 dashboard is very bad, but I just looked closer a few days ago and found it's not too bad, only the air vent are pop out, I think they can be fixed easily.
atm it's a bit dirty.

yea thats pretty good I'd say. That will be able to be coverd well at least! Mines gone to the crapper; but I've seen worse.

stu (thestu) also has a brand spanker that he's going to pop in his 1. It's beautiful!!

Both MKI's ive owned have had bad cracks all through the dash. 76' and 77'.

no it been padded and its a softer vinyel

I've got 2 of them

The one that is currently in my 82 Rabbit (I currently reside in the US) that is coming out and the Cabrio one that is going in are both cracked FREE. But the 82 4D golf I had in OZ before I moved over here was not bad just the one crack in the tip. place next the radio where the dash changes on top, I just put a dash mat over it and called it a day!

I have just aquired a GTI dash for a mk1 as part payment. No cracks/great condition if anyone is interested make me an offer before it goes on ebay
