Received a package from Hot Tuning courtesy of evorobin and his quest to make every VW in Australia low on coilovers.

They seem like a nice product, decently made and easy to install and adjust.

First setting was a little optomistic, but we shoved her outside for a photo anyway

It looks great this high, but you cant drive it.

Finally got it running right today and rewarded the old girl with a new(ish) exhaust and the removal of the ugly American Bumpers.

I'd leave the front at that height Matt & lower the back alittle, or do you plan on carrying alot of weight?

Other than that, it's looking pretty bloody good.

You'll have to write up a report on the front coil's too!

Mmmmm - noomie noomie noomie. Love that height - it's great for a couple of photos at least

I'm not liking my car being 4000m above sea level atm.

                      Hopefully not for much longer...

Well done Matt, that is getting me inspired for when my caddy gets here!
When are you going to paint it? I know Rome wasnt built in a day and when working on cars all day it can be hard to put in the hard yards on projects, I have a couple pending here.....
I like the no rear bumpers, but I am thinking along the lines of smaller diameter wheels as in 88cabbies pics in the photo section.

Its higher now and driveable. Its a truck for gods sake. It needs to be useable.

I think Mk1s look stupid with wide 13s. But thats my opinion.

Why would I put a 16v jayjay? I have a 16v Mk1 already. This is 2L 8v EFI from a Golf 3 with the reliablity and everything that that entails.

Its totally having rear bumpers, just not american ones.
Whilst it looks good with no bars, if someone so much as taps it with a car it will be written off with no bumpers.
