    Grzesiek's progress

So its been a while since Ive updated but progress has been made
nothing major just minor adjustments here and there.
    around November bought these

but unfortunatly they did not clear the front caliper so I sold them.
since then ive been doing little things here and there adding bits and changing bits
    like the grill

One of my greatest mod's so far would have to be these adjustable shift linkages, not only do they allow me to shift through all 5 gears smoothly they also shorten the throw from front to back and the weighted link makes it feel a lot more solid, it did take a while to adjust properly but once done shifting is soo much easier.

since the upgrade I've been driving around a fair bit trying on some wheels and searching for parts and trying to figure out what else needs fixing

First on my agenda was fixing the oil leak from the rocker cover gasket and getting new cv boots. so a quick trip to camden gti to see matt turned into a pleasant tour of his amazing facility and fixed me up with a new seal and new cv boots. He also said that my motor is from an Audi and my gearbox is from a mk2 gti which helps to know since I didn't know anything about it to begin with. This also lead to matt recomending a 2e carby for the motor I have and after lots of searching and looking around I cannot seem to find much information or any for sale so if anyone knows of where i could get one would be heaps of help

    Should I or shouldnt I?

but im not too sure if they would look any good still abit undecided ?

Also added an led third stop light makes it alot sleeker and helps me see out the back window abit better. I was considering running without one at all but thought id'e try this out first. after all it was only 2 bux off ebay

Here's how it sat after adjusting the coilovers before they went in

Not the lowest they could be but extremely low
after abit of adjusting I lifted the rear 20 mm and the front 10
this is how it sat next to a better looking well known long lost brother

With that done I was on the hunt for wheels Not being able to make up my mind I opted for the easiest option and got a set of BBS reps in a staggered set.I wish I could have gotten a set of real BBS but unfortunately being a uni student limits my ability to make money so simply put cant afford real ones.

I got them from Russ at OzJDMwheels he was great help and got them in for me heaps quick as i was trying to get greg ready for the mega meet at eastern creek last friday luckily tho it was postponed and i was able to adjust the hieght to stop the new wheels from scrubbing I got the set of Khumo Ku31's from Taleb tyres in arncliffe $320 a set in my books is really cheap.

Had to lift the rear another 15 mm to get it to stop scrubbing but ide say it sits quite nice now still need to change the gold fake bolts for some nice chrome spikes but cant seem to find any anywhere so might just get regular chrome ones.
If anyone knows of where i can get some would be great.

I also go around to changing the cracked cv boots and im not going to lie it was a mission and a half getting it done. just getting the Driveshaft out was a pain in the ass because I didnt have a star hex bolt thing to get them off. Luckily my father came home and taught me the way of the hammer and regular hex key to get them out.

            Engine Options Help ??

Just wondering how much work would be needed to swap in one of these

and what sort of parts and things would I need to do so And does anyone know if it would really make much difference?

If not what would be the best type of Conversion to do in a Mk1 Being young and all I'm really keen on getting something boosted but I'm not too sure if its feasible to do so and I'm looking at doing everything at the lowest cost possible
