    • I just went for a cuise to Wollonong and Back through the national park in the Mk1 16v and it is good fun. Power in a small car and grin factor is what you are aiming for guys.

      Nice to be able to drive, it but now need new front shocks and a new wheel cylinder for one of the back wheels and a speedo cable.
      Engine goes great though.

      More than the minimum legal level of silencing is a good idea too guys. OMG Loudness

        • I'm pumped. I finally got my car running semi properly again! flipping woot! I love rolling in my mk 1. makes me happy.

          I havn't seen a decent photo from this site in recent times though, 64kbs for the rest of the month is doing my head in!

                      • wow this thread was on page 3!!!

                        well i have an update, thanks to josh and my panelbeater unckle, engine bay is painted and ready for running gear to be dropped in, just need to attatch the flywheel, clutch and gearbox to the motor and shes ready to bolt in, then comes the fun part of getting the thing running

                        i should have the engine in by the end of the weekend!

                        also if anyone has not seen my recent set of wheels i have decide to go with his paint scheme for them hehe



                        also my coilovers have arrived and awaiting instalation


                        there will be more updates pretty soon so stay tuned

                            • so close but wrong, its a 85 holden rodeo long bed ute with a v6 conversion, soon awaiting twin turbo treatment

                              edit: and thank you to jarred for making me waste a post on him saying thank you for driving josh to my house!! hahahahha
