You've got a Gt28rs? How do you find it mate?
Yep I have a gt28rs. I love it and there is still scope for increasing the boost significantly from where I am at. The .86 hotside is better than the .64 though because you don’t run out of puff at the top end, and our cars are so light that you don’t miss the really low rpm punch anyway. In fact it makes it easier to drive and kinder to the drivetrain without that light-switch low end power delivery. That’s one of the reasons I wouldn’t bother upgrading to the GTX series, it might actually make traction more of a problem. If you end up building up a 2l bottom end as I think you were considering, the .86 hotside gt28rs still feels plenty torquey down low and then really comes in in the mid-range and beyond. Even on the 1.8l it was fine.

Cheers mate. Real helpful information. Still not sure if I will keep it 1.8 or get the stroker kit.
If $$$ wasn't an issue it would have been an Awd monster with a bullsh*t big turbo
