Where on earth can I find one of these??n WTB section)

So far I have looked on

-ebay
-gumtree
-this forum (see my post in wtb section)
-Trading post
-Carsales

to no avail

all I want is something that drives and isnt falling apart, with rego so I wont need to go through pits or anything
its just to get my from drummoyne in syd to my office in north ryde every day, gradually I will do little bits and pieces of work but I intend to be able to buy it and drive it straight away without any real major work

can anyone point me in the right direction?

Sadly, there is no mystical spring of running and registered Mk1s hidden away. If you want one like that then the sources you've listed are the best things to keep checking, they just don't come up for sale very often.

If you really want one you may have to wait it out until the right car comes up for sale, just be prepared to pay a premium for something with no work required! Good luck.

Just be patient, when they come to market they just flood in. then when everything gone you can hardly find one.
