  • Wheel fitment?

I'll admit I'm a noob when it comes to wheel fitment, but hey I'm here to learn.
A set of wheels have caught my eye and they are 15x8 et25 in 4x100. Will they fit on a mk1 with rolled guards without too much hassle? And what's the best tyre option? 165/45-50? I'm after a little bit of poke but id like it to be drivable, however this ain't gonna be a daily.

What are your experienced/professional opinion and thoughts?

    Cheers

do you remember my old car?
I had 15x8 et 14 approx on the fronts and the rear is 15x8.5 et 9 approx cant remember the exact figures i have them somewhere but that would be very close. I also had -3 camber on the rear n around -1.5 on the front, fronts were fine but couldnt seat people in the rear. So 15 x 8 et 25 mmmm dont think so if youre after a LIL poke. Ill post pics later when i get home work dont like photobucket lol. Also depends on suspension mate you on coils?

Your car is the very reason why I want to do this Dom

So it's a no go then? It will be on coils.

15x8 +25 will fit, will be pretty flush but should work...

i went with 15x7 +20 with a 165/55/15 federal, could do with a 10mm spacer to bring it out a little, but wont rub/scrape, so if you want carefree fitment, go for something closer to that

hmmm food for thought, so it can work? and eventually if i did want a bit of poke i could just slap some spacers in?

does anyone know what centre bore is required for a mk1?

15x8 +25 would sit pretty damn good on the front, and 165/45-50 would be a pretty big stretch i reckon, its not impossible, but will be hard to find a place to willingly do it lol. As for the rears if you got a 10mm spacer, it would sit very nice too IMO

Im running the same setup but +10 and it pokes, but a bit too much on the front i think

you cant get a 165/45... as far as i know no such tyre. for a 7 or 8 inch wide rim, you want a 165/55/15 - either toyo TEO plus or a federal 595evo
