Starting on this - 1983 GTI Campaign
it took a beating and i recon a few of you know about its past life.
It was in great hands with its previous owner who is helping me steering things along to.
Keeping it original but... we were talking about a TSR head amongst other things wooa hahaha (evil laughing)

My Wife and i drove down to Victoria last year to pick her up.
We had the best time down their with TIm and His Family They were Awesome Folks!
Maz got treated to a ride in a beetle thats been in the Family since day one and looks gorgeous.

it was a heel of a journey with a car trailer

the Car got rear ended by a doosh bag who failed to stop but the good thing is i love fixing metal haha
    so here we go...again doh

beautiful kris morning on the way back to Syd

    crunch

    crunch

I was Glad to see that the chassis rails wernt affected at all!
So it made fixing the front easy enough

Tasmanians and mk1's are always most mental!

Glad this turned up with someone who has a clue and some motivation. I'll enjoy watching this come together.

I saw this in the little most recent threads side bar and though "oh god what now!" haha besides the front and the back which are a pretty easy fix (for some one like you) it looks pretty straight! Can't wait to see the finished product!

Good to see you're into it, mate. I still have that grill! haha.

Tim was very cautious about who he sold it to, but knows it will be in good hands with you and I think that's just fantastic.

Good luck with it man. Can't wait to see the progress.

What now HAHA i like that thanks mate I'm looking forward to it to, the rear is going to be a challenge as we will see.
I might be employing a crowd to put it on a bench and have a proper cold pull done and then i will come in after to replace the rear panel
                ect..

I Have been sending Tim sms texts with the progress, He is Pumped
He's great to have on side as he is one of the most knowledgable and helpful straight shooters in the scene.
And to top it of he is " The King Of K-Jet " as i like to call Him, I'm really looking forward to learning more.
I Got to see his Turbo K-jet set up on his mk1 it was amazing to see it, I definitely got a lot out of that trip down to Melbourne.

the issuance company was really understanding of the nature and classicness ( is that a word? haha) of the car.
They let it of as a repairable write off after some discussion with the King
