MK1 - Mk2 Golf in Vic - I am interested?

Hi all,

Firstly, please don't remove this. I realise that it should be in the classifieds, however I can't post in that area yet.

As you can probably tell I am on the look out for either a mk1 or mk2 golf. I have been doing a bit of searching of late and can't seem to find what I am after. My request is pretty basic. A clean golf that I can use as a daily driver and do up.

I need to get one soon as I need a second car to get me to work and run kids about.

If you know of any please let me know. Thanks in advanced.

i suppose you've already looked at the usual??
carsales, carsguide, trading post, gumtree.

i've noticed things seem to be a little dry at the moment. keep an eye out

not that i own a mk1 (one day), but my bias opinion says a mk2 would be better for a daily more modern, A/C, power steering, slightly more power

Yeah, keeping an eye on all the usual places.

Originally I was after a mk2, however I can't find one anywhere at the moment. Especially in Vic.

I would be happy with either

Unfortunately I don't have a massive budget and looking to get something around the $3k mark.
