Can somebody do me a quick favor and mesure between the two front bolts that hold the wish bone, track arm on. I have been looking on the Internet for a floor plan or chassis diagram but no success!
I need to find out how far mine is out from the original position, thank you
Mate gutted to hear about your accident. That wheel is ruined! I know it gets said every time but as long as you're ok man. Everything else can be fixed. Good luck with the stripping man take a look at that wheeler dealers episode with the fiat 500, Edd China strips it down for spraying and he does this awesome trick for getting the windows in and out which I couldn't explain on here if I tried, here's a link actually. I think it's in part 1 where he takes them out and part 2 they go back in.

Woohoo! Parts came today! Only 2 things I forgot, brushes for the wishbone (not sure if I can use my old ones???) and the part of the suspension the shock goes thru and spring sits in! Thought it came with the new shocks I bought but no!
Not even finished the paint and getting the parts back on and I'm already looking at new headers and full stainless exhaust system! I have a problem and it's called a mk1 golf!!!!! Please help lol
Right hand side rebuilt just waiting for tires tobe ordered in, all that's need fOr the left is some bushes and a disk rotor. All rubbed back now ready for paint just need these last few parts to get her there! "then the fun comes of putting it back together and remembering where all the nuts and bolts go.....!
Bit of a noob question. But does anybody know if there is a difference between a left LHD exhaust system and RHD. Headers an all the way to back box and tail pipe?
From what i can see the headers have a straight down bend to the center of the car and then from the cat it seems tobe the same as the systems im looking at but all from uk and RHD cars, Tho i have never seen a Mk1 golf with the tail pipe on the other side so just after some confirmation from someone who knows what there talking about "as i clearly dont" lol
