  • Yayyyy! :D

So last night, I finally received my Mk1 back after having a little bit of work done to the head, & now she's running like an absolute dream! Definitely a big change from having her sitting in the shed covered up for the last few months since I purchased her.
    Heaps stoked
Few niggly issues that I need to sort out soon still, but asides from that she's brilliant
    Said issues include:
-lights wiring is completely wrong (no headlights is a definite bad - taillights/indicators do work though), however is getting fixed Wednesday.
-rear PS window winder doesn't work.
-key only opens drivers side door (not even an issue really since all doors still lock fine..)

Not a bad list for an old girl I must say.
Driving with no lights home last night though for the last 30mins of the trip however was.. Interesting to say the least, tailgated my father home at 60km/h so I could see what was in front! Definitely not the best idea aha.. But it couldn't be avoided. Asides from the lights though, she started first time, then drove 60-70kms home without skipping a beat!
    So pleased!

Finally got my license today too, ended up driving home the more scenic route too. Brilliant weather, brilliant car, brilliant day.

Damn stoked on life, I must say.
    I love my Mk1!

Pic is from just after I got her home many months ago

Literally & metaphorically haha, does get a bit hot in the cabin sometimes
Headlights are booked in to be fixed today, driving her home was terrible, so paranoid.
So headlights will be fixed asap definitely!

KO Plates, so did you buy it from Frank at Kojonup ??
        Lots of MK 1 Scirocco's...

If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??

        Cheers,

          Nope, not from Frank.
I purchased it from a guy by the name of Barry in Yanchep about 5-6months ago, was on Perth Gumtree for a while before I made the purchase

In other news however, headlights now work! So much nicer being able to drive & see where I'm going now aha
Next up on the list is to fix the large amount of travel on the brake pedal before they engage.
          Slowly getting everything fixed..

Haha yeah Wade so stoked dude!
I got a quote for those chrome bumpers from the place you told me & they wanted over $800 to fix them up aha, so for the moment they're on the back burner till I can bend them back then polish them myself, which might be awhile away. The bumpers on there now look practically brand new, so should look pretty hot once I get the duckbill on!

                New exhaust yesterday
2" Straight through. Definitely a big improvement over the poor old one which had basically fallen off!
