A cabrio is a womans car so we gotta make it to her liking.

Fine Can your "ride"cook clean and bear children.
My wife has done that already, but my car hasn't yet.

you're missing the point guys. If i have a big night out on the cans, can't just throw the keys the the woman and get her to drive home.

The TSR kit is 1000 pounds plus freight mind you.

I heard that the latest CitiGolf in Sout Africa comes with power steer. That would be a good vag part number to get hold of!

                      MK 1 P.w.r steer racks

Some one told me about new citi Golf racks also, but have checked SA VW site. None found in there specs.
Once heard about about a Northen beaches VW dealer (sydney) back in the early 90's fitting Nissan pulsar p.w.r racks to cabrios, so that the ladys could steer them. Not sure where the dealer was sending them for this precedure ? If someone knows plz let me know, as all my vehicles have steer, and have become weak in the arms when I take my MK 1 out of the shed.

it's been done with a pulsar rack but it's not as if it bolts straight in. They were welding tie rod ends to do that. And i'm not a keen fan of welding when it comes to steering components

                          Well said mate.

City Golf is a South African Mk1 still in production. It has a rolling beam arrangement for the brake booster and a power steer rack. Allegedly. Its still an A1 chassis car but with a few cosmetic differences.
