what size are the dellortos? 40's 45's? Im running twin 40 webers on the stock 1.6L with 28 chokes. Cant remember the emulsion size.

I would probably say choke size 34? Theres heaps of good info in google to help you out. I found a site a while ago which was really good but id be damned if I can find it again

    heres one for example

DCOE Weber settings for the 1500
    2000 SAAB 9-5 Aero - Stage 2. 275hp 420Nm, Brew City Boost
    1986 SAAB 900 Turbo 16 S

We need to know more about your carbs.

        Are they 40mm or 45mm?

Which DHLA are they? There's several versions of the 40, 45 and 48mm units.

From the model number we can tell if they're universal performance or off an Alfa for example.

        Assuming a universal DHLA 40

        36mm chokes
around about a 50 idle jet
        140 main jet

probably want to start with a 7772.10 or 7772.8 emulsion tube (mine have 7772.11, but my motor is a 2.0L)

You might have to pull yours apart and write down a few numbers.

Take a look at the diagrams and parts list on the eurocarb website. Might help you figure things out.

Oh, and before you get any idea that I'm some sort of carby genius and start asking me any hard questions, I just read all that info out of a book.

Suggest you grab a copy and read up. Between the book and the parts on the eurocarb website you'll get a long way towards setting up the carbs.

Ideally you should have them professionally base lined by a carby expert with a dyno once you've got them roughly right.
