I've been wondering if there is a single Australian stockist of service/replacement parts?? like gaskets, hoses, filters etc. Something along the lines of Parts Place inc. in the US

There are few people you can call like GTI Imports who will source everything and ship it to you.

Imparts are your best bet by a long stretch

Probably cheaper to buy directly from eBay - one of the UK's largest shopping destinations

Yup, HSY (all OEM brands), Imparts (some OEM brands), Tooleys (cheap brands though), Bosch Australia, there's Lintrex over here (mostly OEM brands). The list goes on....

Thats the tricky one. Nearly nobody has hoses anymore. but you can get everything else.

Ok but none of them** offer an on-line ordering service like Parts Place or German Auto Parts.

toolies have clutch kits with friction plate, pressure plate, spring plate and retaining spring and you can buy the flywheel bolts separately if you need new ones. last time i needed one HSY had the cable and i know both places will have the bearing. also you should try and do the rod bushing and seal. Tooleys have these (last time I checked anyway).

                        Ring around.

As it has been mentioned before that Toolies don't do OEM brands. Are they just not OEM or real 'cheap' quality?

Does the same go for ASV???

not really the case at all. tooleys do so many parts its rediculous, and much of it is OEM. For instance they sell

: Sachs, boge, bilsten/febi, elring, mann&hummel, hengst, continental, bendix, etc etc etc.... all of which are OEM for one thing or another.

I'm not a mechanic, but I probably spend about 2k a year at tooleys and nothing i've bought from there has been anything less than I expected it to be.

between hsy and tooley's i can usually get anything i need and the only time either has let me down was some ****ty non-OEM mk1 strut tops that HSY sold me once.
