    Hey all

the other day at work (Adelaide SAAB) a tow truck rocked up with a little yellow mk1 GLD on the back. i have been looking for a small runaround which i dont need to spend cash on
i am sure of two thing
    1) it will be a sweet runaround
    2) i will be spending much cash on it

the boss bought it (off the origional owner) for his daughter who didnt want it so before the truch reached the yard i had shotgunned it

a bit grubby needed a new battery and still needs fuses and **** for indicators and headlights.

cleaned it up today, the interior is quite good

paint actually has some yellow under their

    biggest problem is rust
not yet sure how to get this out, i assume just sand back untill its all gone then repaint?

also i intend to get new wheels but for now i will be painting the wheels red chrome caps and whitewall tires

i took the caps off and polished them and was shocked.

next week i will have the whole car cut back and polished, bumpers resprayed back, trimmings all tidied up so an and so forth keen to see how it looks

    currently looks a bit sad

    plans are as follows

    RETRO BUILD

some sort of fat as old school wheel
    flairs
    possible respray
    duckbill
    new chrome cladded bumpers
    coilovers for lowering
    tartan/ vynal interior
    windscreen visor
    rear white venitians

    thats the initial plans

Nice Golf. Paint looks like it'll come up pretty good with a proper buff job.

      Pretty cool interior!
