Hi all.
I got confirmation from my insurer that the old girl will not ride again. We prised the boot open to find some pretty severe floor damage. Pics are here for those interested:

I have also decided to offload the small treasure trove of bits I had. A Post has been placed in the Parts for Sale section of this forum. Here's the link:
Insurance guys and smash repair yard have been great to date (actually beyond wildest expectations), assessor let me take a few items off her before she is sent off to Pickles Auctions in Melbourne, so my little guy has a few mementos from the car we used to work on and drive around with such delight.
Also a big thanks to those who passed on their kind words in my recent post on this forum.
I am finalising the purchase of a Mk3 Cabrio to give myself a new challenge. Also I couldn't face working on another Mk1 Cabby as my old girl was such a clean and delightful drive.
