  • A New Begining, A Golfs Tail

SO its been a while since ive updated anything to do with me golf as its been off the road for around 7 months. SO the old Topic seems a little outdated and clutted. so making a new one

Since i have parked her up i have done the following

    Mk3 1.8L
    New Tappet cover studs
    New Exhaust studs and nuts
    Custom Short Shifter
    210mm Heavy Duty Clutch
New fuel hoses, Carter Rotary Fuel Pump
SEAT Rear drums and Booster, AUDi Master cylinder, Pulsar Reservoir, Falcon XF Brake light switch.
    Better condition dash
    Better rear seats
Rewired most of car so all works now
    13x6.5 and 13x7 hotwire rims.

Might be more, but there the main things.

Will be starting it tomorrow for the first time in ages so will update tomorrow with pics, and maybe a vid of it running

You've done a fair bit to it .. can't wait to see more pics!

Looking good so far. The yellow panel makes it look like a rally car

What model is the Mk3 engine? I'm considering a similar setup ... was just tossing between 8v or 16v, 1.8 or 2.0 ... and difficulty of transplant.

      1995 MK3 1.8L 8V

Bolts straight in, just use al the mounting gear from original engine. you will need a electric pump though

            Lol.

Anyway that seams like a fair bit of work done. Things i can only dream of doing due to my laziness and complete loss of motivation.
On a scale of 1-hard, how hard was i to do the rear drums hahaha? I need abrake upgrade.

            Keen on some pics

Does "better condition dash" mean "good condition dash" or do they not exist?

                        So ITS ALIVE!!!

                        And my god its amazing
Few little problems, like the thermo fan not wanting to come on but on a upside it doesnt go over 90 degree's on a good run, so i guess its working well.

And the short shifter is awesome, i recommend EVERYONE do it
