Wanted to go with Candy Apple Red Paint job and Ivory roof. really tidy it up and go with a creamy or Bold White interior. not sure what i Want to do with the engine. Will fully clean and respray engine bay too. Possibly a Weekly Driver/ Show Car. Don't know.... Go get the chrome re-dipped. will start off by pulling off all the guards and having a real look at what I have gotten myself into!!!
And with experience will definatly going with Coil-overs... anyone want to sponsor me for $$$$ lol

Congrats mate, she looks like a good project, nice also to see one without the clipper kit. When will it be making an appearance at the Euro Meets? Should get a car trailer for the Mk3 and be at the next one

I am in the process of looking for a conversion kit to change it from Auto to Manual. My uncle is going to help me with the interior as he is a professional upholsterer with many many many years in the industry. Still going with the candy apple red paint job. once engine is removed I'll sandblast the engine bay at a shop down the road. Plan on doing most of the paint myself all the prep work. But going to leave the final coat's to a professional. Chris and Angela @ Toowong Milton Body Repairs. I used to take them alot of cars when I was towing, and they look after me so why not look after them. Going to go stretched & spaced BBS rims or something snazzy. Interior is going to still be White, just for that clean look. Still plenty to do. Will probably bring down the Mk3 and Mk1 to the next meet but on the back of a mates tow truck. IF any of you need a towy just call me. 0425 725 611 and Bruce from Brookwater towing will look after you.

                    Low K's rofl....
Could anyone suggest where the best place to get a Manual conversion kit would be? As this is possibly going to be the hardest thing to get done, I'm sure that i'll have many more questions for you.

Preen I love a challenge lol. Happy for it to take a while. once interior is cleaned up I really don't think it will look that bad. Engine still runs and got a pm about an engine with auto box that could make my life alot easier. Still down the track might look at the manual option. As we know VW's are a work in progress all the time.

Ok so today I finally started to get into it. Turns out the engine will probably run, Meaning the Starter wants to turn, the Water pump moves but the bottom end seems seized. What do you guys reckon is my best option/solution?
If it means its Kaflucked then I should pull it out and strip it and try to work on it?
Apart from that I can't quite get the top down. I think the relay is busted but don't have a multimeter so i'll have to go steal one off the old man tomorrow. Good thing he only lives 5 mins drive tehehehehe.
Pulled the front rims off and noticed that the brakes need some intense attention so I might go with a Mk3 setup, have put upgraded my mk3 ones already so I'll just repeat this one the Cabrio. So if anyone can offer some advice it would be muchly appreciated. I am a NEWB but inspired to learn and try.
