Have a look on vortex, don't think there's a 'DIY' for it, but theres deffo more information on it there.

One method I've seen if to route the wiring through the wheel well, attaching it to the inner fender, and having it come in under the front rad support.

Can someone explain to me why you would want to do this?
It's an awful lot of work no?

not as much as you would think Jarred..

Most of the wiring that hits the enginebay is for the headlights and indicators.
The rest is just a few for coil, reverse lights, and sensors... thats on a carby car though... i already got a loom apart to do it, just need a few bits. and no point doing it if battery in bay,

i ran all the motor gear under the motor from below the firewall. and all the lights and radiator gear around the arch(complete with relays and so on). having said this i have made a from scratch wire loom.

Did you upgrade to a different fuse box also if so what did you use. I have a mate who is an auto electrician and looking into this. Alex how, what and how long did it take to make a from scratch wire loom. Fancy making another one?? Loving you build by the way looks sick!! Was thinking the way that picture shows it but concerned about all the water and crap that might get up in there. If not have to think of another way. So if you situate the battery in the boot what you running where???

think you use a distribution box for the alternator and other majour power wires that go to battery.

As for dirt and stuff, get a few grommets, and you can buy some heatshrink that also has a glue stuff in it to stop water to get in..

i am using the standard fuse box, but having said this all it runs is the lights and indicators, the rest runs through microtech. took a while but not to long, starting from scratch its not a huge job.i basically ran a 16 odd core cable for the motor and a 6 core for the lights and so on. the fuse box is all for switching all the circuits are seperately relayed, oh and a little distribution.

just takes a while to sit down and nut it out, hopefully i can remember what i did when i go to put it back in.
