Will mk 2 or polo seatws fit in a mk 1

Has anyone done this using the mk 1 bases and fitted mk 2 seats into there mk 1 or fitted polo seats in?????? Comments be appreciated

Front Mk2 seat fit straight in MK1, rear is different, not sure about Polo
