  • $10,000 budget

What would you do to your current project/car with a budget of $10,000?

I would get a respray and a good brake upgrade, if any change some interior work.

I am curious on others thoughts and ideas.

        Dreams....

Definitely a total, bare metal respray (Mars Red), a new dash and a full recon for the motor. Other than that, she's already a pearler.

It opens up the creative floodgates if you had a bit of a budget for your car. BTW some of you have spent more than 10k Unless my rough calculations are out, which is more than possible heh.

just to let you guuys know our dubs are a never ending money pit, and if the money is there for you to spend its very scary!!!! ive pumped $28,000 in to mine with $25,000 of receipts over the last 2 years it all adds up very quickly, but i could build similar car for $15000 now doing it myself and im not about to start over again!! well not yet anyway

Don't get me wrong I love my golfs, but with many other priorities in life I always try not to spend more than what I can get back in return for a project car! Common sense always gets the better of me which obviously limits my projects! I know of a guy in Tassie who spent $28000 on a MK1 back in the 80's and could only get $12000 when he decided to sell it as soon as it was finished!

dont plan to sell it, ill store it in a shed on a farm when i buy a new ride, your right tassie thats probably why i wont sell it cuase i cant get anywhere near that price
