  • Hi guys! As a young male that has only ever owned new cars I'm a little unsure what the best course of action. Fact is that I'm absolutley lovin the look of all these MkI 2doors and was wondering where the best place is to look for a nice example of one. I'm not mechanical myself (I can put bodies back together, not engines) so probably looking for something more worked. Thanks!
United Grey R: All the accessories (leather, not Recaro's though), S2P paddles, Kuftech DVD in motion. Carbon grill, mirrors and diffuser awaiting to be fitted.

    • Keep an eye out in the for sales
Same situation as me, i got one with a decent body, fixing that up and i've brought an engine whole, because me pulling an engine apart would just be plain dangerous...
I'm going to the pub... I may be some time...

                  • Wow that green ones clean! Love the bags, that engine set up is the best for a Mk1 imo.

                    Saw this earlier.

                    • Ahhh I was thinking that it was bagged! I tried to find a build thread for it the other day but failed.

From memory it's running a 2.1 16V worked head, 276 odd cams and so on. Should go pretty hard!

cant see why people do that, 90% of the time these are pure sure cars!

built it and use it, thats what i say

                          • Oh this car will be driven! it's Digital K's other halfs car! Yes, it's a girls car! it's been done all how she wants it. Kris's cars are all hard slammed, but he doesn't want his misses (jes) to have to worry about smashing pans and all that rubbish!

Wheels are genuine 4x100 BBS RS 16x7 et25, with 165/40's. I think the engine came out of audrey maybe, as it was already built and running before it was put into this car. It's got a whole new custom loom running though it, hidden naturally, as well as a whole bunch of stainless bits and bobs. wilwoods up front and bagyard airride of course.

I read the whole build thread last night! but it was worth it!

                            • I've read it a few times. I love those builds that progress systematically and regularly.
I really want to see the 'Audrey' build thread, but it's probably disappeared with the Vortex server change over.
If anyone's got it, PM it to me please!

MK2 TD apparently. Owner's a diesel mechanic, hence the engine bay.

And this is the rest of the car, equally awesome:
