pretty much,I spend segments of time on it when I build up enough enthusiasm but its really just something to play with if I have free time.Ive had it built up almost three times over 15 or so years then decide to try something else and end up stripping it to its shell.Building up bits for a final assembly though so the next time it goes together its got to be how I want it but I can guarantee its never going to be finished

hahaha,no ive just got the two mk1's just now, jetta is in that garage while the golf is in my sisters drive awaiting the new parts coming.I want to put a vr6 in my mk2 to get an idea of the stumbling blocks before I do the jetta
which is now like this
kept finding little bits off the original maroonrot and I wanted it too look like it came from the factory dragon green, found a bit rust which I got carried away cutting out but its back in the garage just now with a random covering off paint while I build up more parts and momentum. Changing priorities meant I no longer wanted a screaming solid mounted valver in it.When its done I want kinda factory levels of comfort, mountains of torque and a nice long distance cruising experience
yes im basically getting old

There are two companies that manufacture this rim.
This rim must have the caused the most drama ever!!
Basically it was designed by renowned cartoonist Dave Deal who agreed to allow this american company to design the rim
but apparantly also agreed to allow a german company to use the rim.
Lots of drama and it turns out the german ones are much much nicer.
