I watched a british documentary where they restored and mk1, and the dude mentioned it there. Funny i've never seen the black plate on a mk1 before? Hard to install..?

I've come to really like the early Westy fronts!
Didn't see that coming, the later ones usually look like ass.
The whole point of a A1/B1 is the rad chrome and simplicity of the single rounds! Unbeatable. Makes for the coolest front end on any car.
