          • Rears rubbing like crazy FTL

Currently adjusting it as I type.

Anyone know an easy way to get alittle rear camber going on a Mk1?
Cant see anywhere I can just throw some camber bolts to fix it.

If you get 2 angular shims made (or make them yourself if you're a machinist like me..) and bolt them on under/behind the rear stub axles, that'll work....

Won't do much for tyre wear though..

                  • Tyres are some Yokahamas 185/60/14. Currently trying to source a pair of 175's to fit on the rear. Wish I could lower it but I'm actually thinking of raising it alot more so I can get some monster spacers happening to have the wheels sticking well clear of the guards

Guard lipping isnt an option. Dont really want to butcher the car as its actually a mint 1 owner Mk1 (original 60k on the odo with complete VW service history).

                    • ahhh! one of those mk1's i know exactly how you feel.....

if i was gonna poke rim, id roll 13's on unrolled lips with a 175/50R13

or a 14 id run a crazy stretch like 155/55's

                          • lol...yup (although I think an auto-manual conversion will be next).

Dom, do you know where I can get such narrow tyres (and a tyre place that is willing to install them)?
