  • Weber mesh filters

I need to buy some filters for Weber DCOE carbs, the slim mesh ones like these look very neat but they run dry and I'm concerned they will not filter quite as well as the foam option.

Are they appropriate for a car thats not for track use?

    Anybody have suggestions for alternatives?

    cheers

Pretty sure Clark Rubber sell filter foam AND filter oil. Get whatever filter holder/cage you can and fill with foam.
If I had a decent carby set up I'd risk it and just use those metal mesh filters to keep the big **** out.

I like RAmFlo filters, you can buy them direct from Lynx.

I'm not sure how closely you looked, but they do have a fine mesh between the two layers of heavy mesh you can see in the photo. It states that it filters down to .009, what does that mean??

Ive seen them before and liked them alot, but I am really after the individual filter look. Do RAmFlo make individual ones?

I'd guess that .009 is just nine thousandths of a millimeter. Don't think there's any specific gauge for filtration.

And **** yeah, the ones in the second link are what I'm talkin 'bout. I've seen wider mesh in that style (what i was initially referring to).

Haha yep they look the part, I'm just wondering if they are appropriate for a car that sees the street..
