I was having the same problem.....

      EBAY!!

I got my coilovers from the uk $500 Deliverd!! (9 day delivery)
Poly Bushes all round (replaces every bush in the car) from the uk $260 deliverd
Alloys from Gold Coast $150 pick up
x2 door handles - eurocarparts.com.au - look for the vw clearance section $50 deliverd Euro car parts have loadsa stuff so browse through
most things can be repaired locally, dashes can get remade/coverd seat can be retrimmed, exhaust can be made, only issue im having is sourcing window rubbers but i managed to remove them without damaging them but could still do with a refresh!

but go on ebay and select worldwide (available to Australia) contact the seller and they are always willing to post to Aus.

As practical as window tint is, it does **** all for the aesthetics of old cars.
                          Otherwise, looking good!

i tend to dissagree, but we are all intitled to our opinions and appreciate the feedback. painted one of my mag wheels white today and it came up pretty good. just need to clean the other 4 and get them painted and put on.

i want to go lower but may just get a lower profile tyre. running 80's around so will see how much for a set of 175/65/13. may be a little while before i get them though
