        Hi Andrew
So does that mean the 1.8l will go harder than the Heron?
I just want my Pride & Joy to have the most horse power!

Herons are great motors IMO. Ours went great! Revved very freely if you get me. Even with the standard cam, It went awesome dude. Once we put the schrick 288 cam its went even better! It gave such a big difference and you could really feel the car pull after 4000rpm.

But at the end of the day, its what you really prefer. Torque/Revs etc etc...

Dave mate, Go the 1.8 as your heart is set on that. It will be way cheaper to fit by heaps running the Weber. We could strike a deal on that Herron with labour.
And I mean it, I will buy the Heron, no probs!!
I loved that motor, wasnt a wheel spinning freak motor but certainly would be nice in Gunter!!!

My heart isn't set on either. I have a choice of 2 motors.

That Mk2 GTI looks sooo nice, I've seen it around - and it's a 2 door right? Also seen the white Mk1, very neat! Should bring one on the next cruise.

Very cool. Both your mk1's are running standard suspension i take it? They'd look sweet about 25mm lower.
