  • Heron K Jetronick Fuel Injection Adaptation

    Hi Dubbers!
Question: Can the K-Jetronic fuel injection from a 1.6 Heron motor be easily adapted to a 1.8 motor? And what's the difference in horse power between motors if they're fuel injected please?

    Any advice would be appreciated!
    Cheers
    Dave

Yes, as long as your using the right injector cups for the 1.8 head.

Current daily car uses this exact combination,

Never had the old EG 1.6 heron dynoed, but it went ok, the 1.8 with a small valve head , cam and decent exhaust saystem does about 88.9 whp at 5750 rpm.

Considering the engine drivetrain losses to be 15 - 20 % that would be ballpark whp for a good heron engine also IMO

Currently doing a conversion from CIS-E to CIS basic on one of my cars now.
    Lots of MK 1 Scirocco's...

If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??

    Cheers,
