Hey y'all,
after salvaging the blue beast in march, i have ticked a lot off my to do list...
body-
Gti arches *
crosshairs*
upswept exhaust*
mk2 style grille*
straightened chrome bumpers*
replacement front drivers quarter*
hard cutt and polish*
repaint all exterior black trimming*
white retro 15" rims with low profilers*
engine/running gear-
replaced screwted driveshaft & CV*
machined front rotars*
referb rear drums*
replace timing belt*
replace plugs and leads*
replace all hosing*
rewired ignition and coil*
full oil change*
empty/clean fuel tank*
tighten brake clutch and throttle cables*
And left to do is wiring the dashboard...
the previous owner had a shot at replacing the LS dash with a newer GLS dash... hmm surely the are no different..
anyways... basically nothing has ACTUALLY been reconnected... the dash was just re mounted and made to look pretty
SOoooooosooooosooooo... all i need to get roadworthy is headlights, indicators and demisters working prime.. is it hard to do?? are there DIY's around?? or should i get an auto electrician to charge me a crap load and do it properly??
oh and i did all of the above listed (includiing the cost of the car) for under 1500 bucks gotta be happy with connections!!!! and forums
