Ha it's not a standout-ish car hey, neat though.
Is there ANY sets in Australia? Having to pay shipping from Europe or the states would make bringing in a set of steelies a bit disproportionally expensive.
I agree, they're the best steelies out, but hell.

yep, there wouldn't be many sets here. would cost a bomb to bring them in, comparative to what they're 'worth'. so who knows.

should look awesome like that. you've got me thinking i should grab a rag top and swap all my good bits over, grill, lights, coilovers, wheels... bumpers too. would be so awesome in summer.

i don't believe for a second you will be able to help your self from constantly modding this

So after well over a week after I ordered parts from supercheap, I went in, asking where they were, since they were meant to be there in about 3 days. Turns out someone was a colossus doofus and didn't put the order through properly, and my steering rack bushes were never ordered. So I got a refund and went to volkspower, which I should have done in the first place - cause I got the parts the next day! (and genuine parts too)

Had a fiddle, turns out the rack mounts need to be rewelded (* I think). I'm going to have to pull part of the exhaust and the rack etc, to have a real good look, but she's not there yet. I'm going away to thailand (woo) tomorrow for 2 weeks, so I won't be able to do it till after I get back, hopefully everything else is good & in RWCondition as I'm desperate to drive it! (esp after the mk 2's clutch is starting to slip).

Thanks to Pete Jones for some new(ish) shocks, and Tim for some help with pulling them apart and putting them back together with me!

I'll be sure to update with some more pics, when I have them!

                          Stoked for updates man!
Have a sweet holiday! I'd recommend to play it safe and steer well clear of hookers altogether. That's just me though. Good luck otherwise.

Nah have fun! Go to a shooting range and bust off a .50cal for me.

Brilliant, Another cabriolet saved! Looks original and well looked after. Nice Le Castellet wheels - I think they suit the car very well. I guess you have no power steering if the rack mounts are damaged, caused by drivers turning the steering wheel without moving forward or reverse.

FYI: The plastic sticker stone guards in front of the rear wheels are no longer available. in case you plan on repainting the sill clipper kit. If anyone knows of a set for sale, let me know please.

Tip: Summer night driving is always the best. However girls complain the wind will blow their couple of hundred dollar hair style around, and want the roof up. This is solved by taking them out for drinks first. By 3AM all the want to do is drive with the wind in their hair.

Basically the only time I ever had the top down was warm as nights.
Otherwise the weather has to be spot on so it doesn't burn your forehead, make you get a chill or sweat your balls off!
