  • plausable..?

    i know its pretty much impossible to tell from photos and an ebay page but would this be more trouble than its worth..?

    76 VW Volkswagen Golf Mark 1 -VW GOLF MK1 - Shell Only - eBay, Passenger Vehicles, Cars, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 02-Jul-10 10:42:25 AEST)

    Depends on how much money/time/know-how you've got to throw at it.
    I think you'd be better off buying a cleaner, drivable MK1. Would probably work out cheaper. I wish I did.

      But the shell is a swallowtail - and they are just too cute. Would make another great build thread!

        yeh ive seen that and love it.. but $4000 is little past my budget at the moment..

              Well as most people here will tell ya, it's much cheaper to buy a solid, reliable RWC car and make it how you want it; than it is to buy a rust bucket, repair it, rego it, then make it how you want it.
              Unless the 'rust bucket' has certain advantages to outweigh buying a 'better' car.

              My honest recommendation: be patient.

                  Hi all,i did offer him 3k for it and he turned me down so had to haggle to $3500 it seemed more than i wanted to pay but my mrs said go for it so i put a deposit on it and should get it over in about 3 weeks time.Got some pics of the dodgy bits like bonnet crazing and surface rust on inside of door and he cut speakers in the door cardsHope its as good as it looks when it arrives
                  1988 corrado G60 LHD dark green, full miltek , borbet e's .k w coilovers
                  2006 T5 tdi semi auto
                  1977 mk1 gls 2 door,1.8 on twin 45 dellorto's
                  2002 bora 4 motion,kw coilovers,x force full stainless,r32 rims

                      Brave or stupid ha ha,i wayed up flying and looking but to take time off etc... it wasn't worth it.Thats the problem with being in WA i suposeIt did pay off with my corrado i didn't see that before buying it and turned out better than i hoped

                          Hope al goes well with it.
                          I brought mine over from SYD to Perth and only saw photos, so im sure yours will be fine.
