Yeah the handles are pretty rare i think, they came off a porsche 944 turbo, and they are a perfect match for the mk1 handles!

Sass, the cloth is going on the on the upper halves of the doors, the underside of the sunvisors, and the centre section of the seats/headrest, everything will be black vinyl, still not sure on the tartan colour though, im still looking for something a bit brighter... Purple red blue combo would be nice

You should consider Blackwatch Tartan as an omage to my school uniform? The blue, green, brown (car) combo would go nicely I think. Or you could go something garish like an orange based tartan..

They are listed by preference. I do like the third, i feel it looks like the pants of an aging golfer therefor suiting for the mk1, however, purple orange and green would go so well with the brown car...

shouldnt rust if you use autsol..

I have done the same to my old corolla (two actually) and just a day of sanding, wet sanding, then a hour with a buffer and autsol... just atleast try to wipe it down once a month to stop it going dull.

yeah i was gonna wax it, might just have it plated got quoted bout 60-70 dollars to do so!

I'm working on cleaning the door replacing the rusted out passenger door on the car currently. Will have fresh black seals, chrome flags, re-skinned door card, chrome winder, posrche handles and "oh ****" handle delete. hopefully with the next week will be finished, waiting on seals.
