  • thinking about selling the mk1 to buy mk2

well i am just putting the feelers out there to see if anyone is interested in my mk1. most of you know what it is, what it has and condition so i wont delve into it. so price????? not sure what to ask, so after some honest opinions on what i should be selling it for? i am also on the hunt for a mk2 to replace it with. anyone know of any for sale at the moment?

    cheers for the help guys

Given that it's in pretty mint condition, I wouldn't know you for asking around 3K for it. wether you can find someone that'll pay that much is the problem.

Ah man! Do the conversion you wanted to and your MK1 will give you the zippiness you wanted!
You will be hard pressed to find a MK2 in the same condition your car's in.

just roughly, what do you think you would put it up for? - sounds like something i've been interested in/working towards for a while.

                  AMEN steph

Dude, your mk1 is PRIME. I truely think you will regret selling it.. even if it takes a year or two.. eventually yoou wil wish you hadn't.. look around at the forums.. all the Mk1 peeps that sold up are now back on the market!! But with you its even harder considering the brilliant condish..

But if you did sell up.. ask for 4k.. maybe more even..

wonder what the reserve is though Mark? There's a difference between what these cars are worth, to the right buyer, and what they're worth when you're trying to actually sell them!

Just think I want something that feels a liTtle more comfortable to drive as it is my daily. I like the mk2's because they still have that square look about them. I do still need to have a drive of one though to see how they are.

Thanks for the compliments dude but show car quality is a bit far, it does have it's imperfections, it's definately not perfect.
