  • My 1st Mk1 Golf!!!

Hi I have recently Purchased a Mk1 Golf in Sydney and its on its way to Perth!
I thought I would disperse some Mk1s out over Australia since they all seem to be in Tassie ha ha.
When I get it ill post up some Fab Pics that i know you all want.

Meanwhile i Have found out that you need your window washer to work to pass the inspection,
Which by a mean roll of the dice I do not have the window washer bottle installed in my car which i also found out today. Its the only thing lacking!

So can anyone help me with this part in Perth before tuesday next week?

Would Golf Wagen be able to help me? I have just heard of them,

Otherwise ill just have to wait for the original one to get posted over from SYD and reschedule my inspection and driving permit.
Which isnt too bad i just wont be able to drive it for a while!

Main thing that makes me happy is that the person that bought it (you mate) is a member on here, keeping it in the family thats what its all about!

Hope to see it being updated on here regularly!

If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??

Yeah I am really happy with it so far even though i havent seen it in the flesh or driven it ha ha!
I have wanted one ever since i was a kid. now finally... yesss

Thanks roccodingo but Dubdan has helped me out already, but ill keep your number in mind just in case!
Im sure all the mk1s of perth will catch up sooner or later for a cruise.
Yeah its better to keep these cars in the Family, its good to know whats out there on the grapevine.

About the double headlights, i was considering single headlight with crystal headlights just to sharpen her up,

JoshFair do you mean that i lose the GTI badge?

This is what i have on my wall at home

Well sorry to pip you there! If i log into ebay it says that i was the highest bidder also, so not sure what happened! My bid was the last and highest as far as i was aware.
                      Interesting anyway.
Well you can take some consolation in the fact that I had to get it all the way to Perth.
Hope your track car goes well for you, it would be really cool to have a track car of some sorts some day. good on ya mate.

                        Hi Stoie
I havent made my mind up fully yet i need to have a play around with it a bit first to decide, early days yet, but ill let you know for sure if i do change them.
I think though, i will just let it run as is for a while so that my bank account can stop taking the hemorrhaging it has been lately.

                          Congratulation Anton,

For some reason, that car look very familiar to me

Dual headlight FTW, IMHO... although I'm the minority .
