Well I can't answer that last question for RedMk2gti,
But I can answerthis one! It was orignally a Golf LS and the engine was rebuilt to GTi spec with higher compression, i am told,
How would they achieve that? I am wondering,
a paint job has now been added along with a few gti cosmetic bits.

Yup its an early car with the kjet conversion.
Higher compression could be from decking the head, or fitting the (heron) head or engine from an early Mk1 GTI.

Only a clone Mario, not a genuine version. They were never sold here in Australia by VW, only imported privately the few that exist. ( same as the Scirocco's, Corrado's etc)
            Lots of MK 1 Scirocco's...

If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??

Well The Car should be arriving tuesday next week, SO very exited already!

Does any of you know what they will check for in the "PITS" in Perth, because i have to get it inspected unfortunately.
i.e. what can i make sure that works before they tell me it doesnt and that i need another inspection.
Ill be taking it to welshpool, is that a good one to go to?

Any suggestions of places to go for nice Pics when i get it.... thinking, coastline between cott and south beach somewhere, somewhere in the Hills?

Well i Found out on the DPI website this arvo that i need window washers to work for my car to pass the inspection.
I also found out that i do not have the window washer bottle installed in the car at the moment!
Far out.... just one thing missing.
Can anyone help me with this part in Perth?
Is it hard to install and get working?

hardest part is going to be running the wash tube thru the hatch, see the other post.

As per my other thread i have found the part needed thanks again, My car doesnt have a rear window wiper/or washer nozzle so i think i will be able to dodge the tube through hatch problem.

Most Mk1 original spec don't have rear wiper/washer, I don't thnk Anton need to worry about the rear part.
