is that a 240K couple I see lurking in the background?

rare as rocking horse poo those old dungers! The old joke was that the 240K was the warranty expressed in kilometres.

I don't know if i quite understand that...
But the coupes are pretty hard to find now (in one piece and running!).
It's my husband's project car and he loves it to bits.
they had a propsenity for rust and failing electrics. Indeed they are rare and unique. A mate had the 4 door which I used work on with him-rust killed it off. A nice 240z engine would give it a kick along

I know this is detracting from my thread, but it has a fuel injected R31 motor in it and all the wiring has been removed from the engine bay so it looks a lot neater, it fair flies when it's got a nice bit of road. I think (from memory) it has had a 5sp put into it too.
The rust has been killed off in it, and we've got new panels for it too. Just focussing on getting my MK1 finished at the moment, then that will get some love and attention. It is a pretty special car...
Ooohhh - thanks for the tip, i never thought of that. Might need to go and have a browse around there, find some more quirky things i can put into the golf.
