Which aerial on a Mk1?

Hi

I do not have an aerial on my Mk1, it has never had one for a radio or stereo

I need to install one as I put a stereo in last weekend, what do you think is the best way to achieve this from experience?

I am guessing a guard mount but how do you get the aerial wire into the cabin from the wheel arch etc and what is the best way to get the 25mm hole in the top of the guard to begin with?

Any pics would be appreciated

Yours could have been filled, standard mk1 aerial is in passenger side guard top side. I used cheap aerial from supercheap auto, running antenna wire to head unit is very easy.

If your really after a nice aerial without having to drill holes on any panels or firewalls etc.

Have alook at these. I've fitted a couple to various cars & they work very nicely & also being very stealthy too

Not these exact ones but similar in style. The ones I've used are very thin & can be mounted in the lower or upper LHS of the windscreen with one strip running only the upper/lower of windscreen & the other running up/down the windscreen.

Won't work all that well fitted over the top of window tint.
