  • Windscreen replacement cost.

Anybody replaced a MK1 screen lately?

O'Briens are asking $461 does that sound about right?

Need a new one for Ziggy for the RWC.

(also I broke it removing it for the rust repairs. )

$461 sounds like a bit of an exaggeration.

Hoping it is anyway, because I'll need one for RWC soon too.

I think $461 is a bit much. I guess that is them coming to your place to fit.

Ring up Jims windscreens. they should do it for about $220. fitted etc.

          obriens are a rip,

I' should have a one lying around actually, although I doubt it would be roadworthy.

I guess it pays to have windscreen cover in your insurance (one free 'screen a year) for a car that is up and running.

Yep, this one's unreg'd and uninsured so no free screens to be had.

All my other cars are with Shannons which has glass cover.

What a difference in price! Should've told O'Brien to inject his resin where the sun don't shine.
