  • 8v Extractors

    Hey everyone,

I am looking for some extracters for an 8v (1.9SD), just wondering whether they are available in Australia, preferably in Sydney, as I'm looking to replace my exhaust setup.

    Cheers.

These ones are still being made in Sydney.

These belong to Geoff Hale. Send him a PM for the details. (I've forgotten !)

Hi all .. Nice photos Pete. The details are .. Straight line Performance Parts. Ring 02 9670 6300 or 0419 960 300 and talk to Mick. They have them listed for 1.5 & 1.6 but will fit the SD engine as the block is the same height. I bought 2 sets which cost $320 each so he may want a bit for just one set.
They fit well but you will need to make up some thick washers and then shape them to fit under each nut. I also added a bracket down the bottom so I could use the original support bracket which attaches to the engine block. .... cheers .... Geoff

Back again. The other thing is that the holes to go over the 8mm studs are 10mm so I made up 2 sleeves that is 10mm outside diameter and 8mm inside diameter. I put these in the holes on the middle 2 pipes at the top which I think will keep the extractors and the gaskets better lined up with the ports in the head. .... Geoff

I also bought 1 no. set last year from Straightline and I'm pretty sure they were around the same price that Geoffrey has quoted...ie. no penalty for a single
