  • $699 + $250 shipping, and shipping was 1 week! Compared to KW V1's being $1700+ in Australia.

The coilovers are specifically the same as KW V1's. Only difference is warranty length (these have 5 years, V1's have lifetime) and the strut body of these is galv. (V1's is stainless).

I'll do a proper review of them once they're in. so far the quality seems leaps and bounds ahead of Sh|tunings!
makes me glad im taking them off your hands

I'm not changing coilovers for no reason! They'll be better than cut springs at least.

            • Cheers mate.

Got the coilovers in after work. The ride is much better than racelands/hottunings, once the springs have settled I'm sure it'll only get betterer! The coils are wound as low as they can go, all round.

Rear is good. Lower than the Racelands and rides nice. Height is good, tucks just the right amount of tire with the stockies on.
Front... needs some work. Thinking of getting a pair of those strut risers. It's much higher than the back at the lowest setting, and hits bumpstops too much. Before I wound it down (set f&r to roughly the same measurements as the Racelands to start with) it rode awesome.
Reverse rake, like all the cool kids.

Pics tomorrow if I can be ****ed.

                • No, but the driveshafts only hit with the SSR's on.

                  • Lifted.

Found mud inside my rear bumper. Also, the rear beam seems to be full of mud too.
My sump is crying, it needs more low and i'm a bit over it.

                        • So, suppose I've done a few things.

Got drop plates and strut top risers for more low and a slightly more comfy ride. Excuse the rake, this is with the rear coilovers wound most of the way up.

Also got my sump reinforced (a while ago now), and also put my drivers side vent window in.

Waiting on a guard roller (ebay impulse buy) to arrive, so I can un-butcher my guards and get it off the tires so I can lower it more. Also want to get some smaller 13" tires. Both drive shafts are hitting the frame now, so I definitely need to do some C-notches too.

Preeny's hooking me up with (amongst other things) a tie rod flip kit and ball joint extenders very soon, so I can get back a bit of that handling for the local twisties.

Unsurprisingly, I still haven't painted it.

Right now, it's parked with a small problem.
It won't idle and will barely hold revs with partial throttle at 1100-1200 rpm.

Fuel, spark, timing are all spot on. I'm leaning towards an issue with the idle cut off valve. Where might one purchase a replacement valve? Any input on that shiz would be appreciated!

                          I'm unemployed again. Fuq.

Buy my car, so I can continue chillin at home and working on all those little jobs that I can't be bothered with when I'm actually busy.

Heh, I think I might buy a guard roller too. Going to need it for the Zenders if I ever fit them to the GLD..

I like the chrome centre caps by the way, Jace.

Don't bother, there's stuff all to see because I haven't done any hard work to this POS.

At 15x7 +20 it all depends on tires. 195/45 is normalish, but the rolling diameter will be (IMO) massive and yeah, they would likely require a bit of a roll.

                              • No there's no way 15x7 ET23 will fit with a 195/45. So out will come the guard roller. Believe me.. It's not the first Mk1 i've owned.

                                Yes! keep those caps dude!

You coming up for the nats?
